Yesterday was our last day in the pool. I will miss it, but Luigi will miss it even more. Our two days of swimming were something he looked forward to every week.
We haven’t given up swimming forever, but we do have to wait until the pool opens back up again. I guess since the sea is so close they don’t stay open during the summer. Of course, it does also give them time to perform some maintenance, so all is not lost. In the meantime we’ll either have to go to the beach or just wait until September when it opens back up again.
Of course, we have to see if mom has time to make trips to the beach. Swimming was held on specific days at specific times so I just made sure I was free and didn’t schedule anything. I guess I’m going to have to put “going to the beach” on my calendar.

We’re lucky Rose, the pool is in the next town over, just 15 minutes away.

I remember every trip to the sea of my childhood. Granted that it wasn’t a weekly thing as it might be for you, but still, those memories are precious and now very, very old.

Oh come now Judith, you’re not that old.
The beach is only 1/2 hour away, but I have to admit that I’m just not a big fan of going to the beach. I’m sure it will be different with a toddler in tow though. When I was a kid I loved to go, so maybe I just need to recapture my youth.
